What is Meadowlark Comic Con?

Meadowlark Comic Con is a full-scale pop culture and comic convention celebrating all kinds of fandoms from comics to anime to video games to movies and TV shows, and bringing an array of celebrity guests from different genres of entertainment to Rogue Valley.

 

When is Meadowlark Comic Con?

Meadowlark Comic Con is July 27-28, 2024 (Year Seven!), 10 am to 5 pm.

 

Where is Meadowlark Comic Con?

Meadowlark Comic Con will take place at Roque X, Medford's newest venue, located at 901 Rossanley Dr, Medford, OR 97501 Plenty of FREE parking!

 

Who is Meadowlark?

Meadowlark is our superhero mascot created by author Davidson L. Haworth and artist Chris Marrinan who worked for both Marvel and DC and has many classic titles under his belt. You may also meet a live action Meadowlark at the convention!

 

Are you affiliated with any other events in Oregon?

NO, we are not. We are a privately-ran by fans for fans convention featuring celebrity guests, professional artists, local creators and vendors, special guest panels, cosplay contest, and more — just like a big city con only in Medford.

 

Can I bring my kids?

YES! We are a kid-friendly and family-friendly event, and we want to make sure everyone has a good time and enjoys the con in a friendly and safe environment.

 

Are you a corporate con?

NO, we are a very small team of fans working very hard to give fandom friends the best experience possible at a price any family can afford. We are not those big corporate shows treating fans like numbers. We are laid back, fun and for everyone — no matter who you are and where you are from.

 

Where can I buy tickets?

Meadowlark Comic Con tickets are on sale online. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the show but prices will go up.  

 

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices can be found HERE. Prices will go up at the door that's why we encourage everyone to get tickets online and save. Kids under 5 are always FREE. We keep the prices low so everyone can afford it, without compromising quality: paid admission allows us to bring celebrity guests for the fandom friends to meet.

 

I like free stuff. Do you have any?

Absolutely! The first 100 fandom friends at the door will receive a copy of our own comic book and other cool swag. Available while supply lasts so come early to get your hands on some free goodies.

 

Will there be any special guests?

YES! Meeting celebrities is one of major aspects of going to a convention, and we at Meadowlark Comic Con work hard to give the fans the opportunity to meet special guests from different genres of entertainment — from movies and TV shows to comics. View our 2024 guest line up HERE

 

Can I get pictures and autographs with the guests?

YES! All our special guests are very nice and are looking forward to meeting you. One of main things about Meadowlark Comic Con is that you won't be rushed to get your photo or autograph — you will be able to ask questions and have a good time with all our guests. We never treat our fandom friends like cattle.

 

Do you charge for celebrity photos and autographs?

We as a convention do not, but each guest sets their own prices and collects payment directly at their tables. Some autographs and photos might be free, some might be for a fee but we always choose guests who have reasonable prices within $15-25 range. Prices are not set by Meadowlark Comic Con and may vary.

 

Will there be vendors?

Of course! We will have local creators and vendors selling all kinds of merchandize from original and fan art to vintage and new comic books, toys, and various geek and anime products. View our vendor list. Please give them some love — we have a wonderful group of very talented people.

 

I sell art, and I worry about being placed outdoors.

All our vendors are located indoors and protected from the elements.

 

Will there be any panels?

YES! All our celebrity guests will be doing special panels you don't want to miss — view the 2024 program schedule HERE and prepare your questions.

 

Can I cosplay?

YES! We love cosplay and encourage all our fandom friends to cosplay. Cosplay is for everyone!

What is your weapon and prop policy?

Costume weapons (except prop guns) are allowed and will be checked for safety. Absolutely no weapons of any kind including but not limited to gun and knives are allowed. All props and costume details have to be safe for people around you.

 

What about cosplay contest?

Cosplay of Champions cosplay contest will be in full swing with four categories and great prizes. Participation in the cosplay contest is FREE to all ticketed attendees.
